At the age of five, the Elbphilharmonie is still young, but it has already won a firm place in Hamburg people's hearts. The city's Department of Marketing & Culture is congratulating the concert hall with an original poster campaign: local celebrities – be they an Olympic medal-winner or an author of children's books, a newsreader or a concept artist, a designer or a »Revolverheld « – have delved into their family photo albums to find proof that they too started off young. The motto on the posters is: »Hamburg legends know that your fifth birthday is just the beginning.«
Win an instrument workshop!
For all youngsters looking forward to a future as a Hamburg celebrity, the Elbphilharmonie has a special surprise in store: if you are five years old as well on the Elbphilharmonie's fifth birthday, which falls on 11 January 2022, you and your family have the chance to take part in an exclusive instrument workshop at the Elbphilharmonie (9 April 2022, 12.00–13.30).

Under the title »Klassiko Instruments of the Orchestra« you'll have the opportunity to try out the classical orchestral instruments together – the violin and cello for example, the double bass, the trumpet and the flute. After the workshop you'll be able to take a tour and explore the rest of the building.
