Even more Beethoven

The large-scale celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth already began everywhere last season – e.g. in his birthplace Bonn, where 700 plastic Beethoven figures were set up all over the city. And in 2020/21, too, the works of this Titan among composers are again omnipresent in the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle: Igor Levit completes his cycle of the complete Beethoven piano sonatas, while the Quatuor Ébène does the same honours with the string quartets.
