CANCELLED: Jordi Savall’s Beethoven Cycle

The cycle of Beethoven symphonies with Jordi Savall, whose start was already eagerly anticipated in the 2019/20 season and then rescheduled for 2020/21 owing to Corona, has now been cancelled completely. The reason is that several musicians in Jordi Savall's orchestra Le Concert des Nations have tested positive for Covid-19, so that next weekend's concerts in the Laeiszhalle cannot take place. Jordi Savall is inconsolable, and plans to reschedule the Beethoven cycle in the coming seasons, when he will perform it in Hamburg as well.
