Zhouan Ensemble

Roham Sobhani officially founded the Zhouan Ensemble in 2004 in the form of an artistic family. The Zhouan Ensemble aims to promote Iranian and Kurdish traditional music, as well as bring focus to the classical musical instruments of its native country and of the Kurdistan region. The Zhouan Ensemble is based on collective thinking, and tries to respect every individual musician and member of the ensemble. The word »Zhouan« means the meeting place for lovers, or the place two lovers meet at dawn, in Sorani Kurdish dialect.
