Hamburg welcomes visitors from Bavaria: the Windsbacher Knabenchor (Windsbach Boys’ Choir) performs sacred a-cappella choral music in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall. Under Martin Lehmann, the choir sings works by Heinrich Schütz, Johann Sebastian Bach, Johannes Brahms and Max Reger. The young singers are accompanied by Italian percussionist Simone Rubino, who recently made a name for himself by interweaving classical and avant-garde music with great virtuosity and sensitivity. In addition to the vocal works Simone Rubino plays compositions by Chinese-American composer Tan Dun.
