Vesa-Matti Loiri / Peter Lerche

Vesa-Matti Loiri can be described as Finland’s most legendary entertainer. More than 70 films, 34 records and several Jussi and Emma prizes – the most notable Finnish film and music awards – serve as evidence to his success. In this concert Loiri presents his own compositions to accompany poems by the Finnish writer and poet Eino Leino from the golden age of Finnish cultural history. Also on the programme are well-known folk songs and melodies. With his rich tonal language, guitarist Peter Lerche accompanies Loiri on stage at the Laeiszhalle.
