Verleihung des Deutschen Radiopreises / German Radio Prize Awards

Since 2010, the German Radio Prize has been awarded annually to the country’s best radio journalists and presenters, both private and public. This time, people attending the award ceremony won’t be walking over the customary red carpet, but up the world’s longest curved escalator instead: the 2017 German Radio Prize will be awarded for the first time at the Elbphilharmonie. The Prize is awarded in eleven categories, with an independent jury from the Grimme Institute choosing the winners from hundreds of applications. The media experts look for outstanding reports and presentations, for bold and successful programme innovations, and of course for the best comedy and the best morning programme on German radio. As usual, the German Radio Prize will be broadcast live on radio and TV.
