Ulrich Tukur / Russische Kammerphilharmonie St. Petersburg

In anticipation of the great Beethoven anniversary in 2020 marking the genius composer’s 250th birthday, a grand Beethoven event is being held in Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie. In addition to the famous and popular Symphony No. 3 »Eroica«, another of the composer’s important works is being performed: »Egmont«. The incidental music is less popular than Beethoven’s symphonies because it requires top-class soloists for the narrator and soprano roles – which makes it artistically more demanding. Ulrich Tukur and Nora Friedrichs take on these leading roles.
