Trobar e Cantar – Medieval Music Ensemble
»Love’s Captive«
Power and intrigue, ethics and politics, passion and pure exultation: minstrel dances, minnelieder and motets from England, Germany, France, Italy and Spain tell the story of courtly love in this concert by »Trobar e Cantar«. The ensemble performs using faithful copies of historic instruments such as the vielle, gemshorn, crumhorn, psalterium, pommer and Jew’s harp – instruments that have been reconstructed from pictures and descriptions from the time between 1200 and 1600.
