Concerts by the experimental jazz trio The Necks are a special musical experience. The band from Sydney, founded in 1987, usually begins with simple melodies and rhythms that gradually evolve with microscopic variations within a span of an hour. Hypnotic, repetitive and exacting music in the classic jazz trio line-up, with an affinity to Krautrock and minimalism à la Philip Glass.
Renovation Work in Recital Hall Foyer: The Recital Hall Foyer is currently not accessible owing to renovation work currently being carried out. A cloakroom for guests will be provided on the Plaza in close vicinity to the entrance of the Recital Hall. Some intermission refreshments will also be on offer on the Plaza. We apologise for the inconvenience.
