Spaces of relating
Philippe Boesmans’s »Chambres d’à côté« thematises all the diverse facets of interpersonal relationships – resulting in a complex and fascinating sound world. The second work of the evening is Maurice Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major, one of the most important works of the 20th century. It features a virtuosic piano part with musical nuances that are skilfully captured by the orchestra. The concert then comes to a close with Sergei Prokofiev’s suite from the ballet »Romeo and Juliet« – one of his best-known and most popular works.
