Symphoniker Hamburg / Guy Braunstein / Lahav Shani
»Nach den Sternen« / »By the Stars« / VielHarmonie Concert
Lahav Shani, born in 1989, has a genuine double talent: the young Israeli shooting star impresses critics and audiences alike both at the piano keyboard and on the conductor’s rostrum. And in his debut with the Symphoniker Hamburg he can be heard in both roles at the same time – in Beethoven’s refreshing First Piano Concerto.
Guy Braunstein however, the Symphoniker Hamburg’s First Guest Artist, concentrates on the violin this evening – and performs one of the most taxing works in the entire violin repertoire. Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy makes no smaller demands on the soloist than Beethoven’s forward-urging Fifth Symphony on the orchestral musicians.
