The Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg was founded in 1950 and is one of the larger universities for music in Germany. The university regularly visits the Laeiszhalle many times each semester for its students’ final recitals. In this concert, the university’s Symphony Orchestra presents, among others, a new work by Hamburg-based conductor and composer Wolf Kerscheck entitled »The Trumpets Shall Sound«.
