StradivariFEST
Beethoven / Webern / Brahms
As the name suggests, the Stradivari Quartet from Switzerland plays exclusively on instruments built by the legendary Italian violin maker Antonio Stradivari. The four musicians give concerts all over the world; for their chamber music recital in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall, the quartet is joined by the cellist Danjulo Ishizaka for a performance of a very special work by Brahms: a reconstruction of his Piano Quintet in F minor, which the composer himself originally wrote in a version for strings.
