The thrilling finale of the concert marathon with which the Quatuor Danel honours Soviet composer Mieczysław Weinberg: all 17 of his string quartets can be heard on a single weekend at the Elbphilharmonie. Fono Forum wrote of the complete recording of these works that the Quatuor Danel made some ten years ago: »Belgian ensemble Quatuor Danel immerses itself with ardent intensity in these pieces, making its Weinberg interpretations a thoroughly gripping experience.« At the last concert in the set, we hear the String Quartets nos. 14 to 17.
