Almost forgotten

The composer and multi-instrumentalist Michel Corrette is a Baroque composer who has unjustly fallen into oblivion. In addition to methodic works for 17 different instruments and theoretical treatises about the French and Italian styles, Corrette composed subtle music that is performed far too seldom nowadays. With its concerts the young Swiss Baroque orchestra »orchester le phénix« supports the revival of this forgotten music. Vital Julian Frey plays the solo harpsichord.
