A get-together that won’t be repeated: the American composer, pianist and festival director Marc Neikrug has written a new work especially for the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, which they perform in concert under the baton of Neikrug’s friend Alan Gilbert. Neikrug, known as Pinchas Zukerman’s longstanding duo partner and as the composer of the internationally successful music drama »Through Roses«, has given his latest musical child the simple, traditional and promising title »Symphony No. 4«.
