NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra / Bell / Gilbert
Bruch / Bruckner
Castle ruins
One of America’s most famous musicians, Joshua Bell has been performing in prestigious concert halls around the world since his Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 14. He’s also been known to play in the subway: the Grammy winner made headlines in 2008 with an experiment in which he disguised himself as a busker and played for 40 minutes. He earned 30 dollars and change for his efforts. As they prepare for their European tour, Bell now joins the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra once more for a performance of Max Bruch’s »Scottish Fantasy«, an underappreciated treasure of the repertoire.
