NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester / Alan Gilbert
Elbphilharmonie Konzertkino auf dem Vorplatz
»Elbphilharmonie Concert Cinema« is a chance to relax outside, sitting on the floor or in beach chairs, and enjoy concerts on a big screen and in outstanding sound quality – live broadcasts from the Grand Hall as well as concert recordings from the last few years.
Please note: Tickets to this event allow you to attend the Concert Cinema on the Elbphilharmonie forecourt. The event is not held inside the Elbphilharmonie.
A fortnight before the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra embarks on its big tour of Asia, Alan Gilbert conducts works from the multifaceted tour programme in Hamburg. In the first of two concerts, we hear Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony in the bright key of E major – this was the work that finally brought its composer his international breakthrough –, while in Bruckner’s famous Adagio he bade farewell to his great idol Richard Wagner.
