A low-key star, Murray Perahia has appeared on the biggest stages of the world for decades. His Bach recordings set benchmarks. With Beethoven he has now reached a new dimension – appointed Principal Guest Conductor of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields in 2000, he will perform all five Beethoven piano concertos together with the venerable chamber orchestra in October and November 2017.
