Mischa Maisky / Moscow Virtuosi
Mozart / Beethoven / Tchaikovsky
»My father always had this vision of us all playing music together, but he didn’t force us to« – thus Lily Maisky in an interview. And her father Mischa explains: »I’ve appeared alongside a lot of great musicians, but playing with our children is something completely different. This shared experience creates an emotional bond that is very strong, indeed unique«. To mark his 70th birthday, the world-class Latvian cellist is giving himself and his audience a family concert at the Elbphilharmonie: the highlight of the evening will be Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with daughter Lily at the piano and his son Sascha playing the violin.
