The composer and pianist Martin Kohlstedt has a reputation as a tireless creative phenomenon who keeps challenging his audiences musically in new ways. His works celebrate the fusion of analogue and digital instrumentation. The modular structures give his pieces enormous scope for spontaneity and freedom, which Kohlstedt intensively exploits in his concerts. On his album »Ströme« (Currents), the Thuringian musician worked with the GewandhausChor under Gregor Meyer for the first time. In these upcoming concerts, the musical border-crosser and the 45 choir members will strike a new balance in their lively collaboration each evening anew.
