Under its Director Professor Stefan Geiger, the Landesjugendorchester Bremen brings together talented musicians from the city and the surrounding area. For their concert at the Laeiszhalle, the orchestra has selected two symphonic heavyweights. In his tone poem »Ein Heldenleben«, Richard Strauss sketches an acoustically powerful portrait of an anonymous hero. Then, for Antonín Dvořák’s famous Cello Concerto in B minor after the interval, the Bremen-based orchestra is supported by the cellist Tanja Tetzlaff – a world-class interpreter who has already performed with orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and the Orchestre de Paris.
