Konstantin Wecker

Two pianos, a cello and three musicians connected by their love of songs: Konstantin Wecker, the singer-songwriter, a lifelong fighter against hatred and greed and a champion of society’s losers, has made it his mission to unite poetry and resistance in his music. We live in an age where the lot of the weakest is constantly worsening, and this drives the musician, author and actor more than ever: »I know that poetry and resistance can merge into a wonderful and powerful whole. And I know there are compassionate people who don’t give in to everything the populists want to sell us.« At the Elbphilharmonie Konstantin Wecker reads from his latest book »Auf der Suche nach dem Wunderbaren« alongside Munich cellist Fany Kammerlander and his longstanding stage partner Jo Barnikel.
