»Please do not touch« - this warning sign is nowhere to be found in the Klingende Museum in the Laeiszhalle. That is correct: over 100 musical instruments are waiting to be put to the test! The Klingende Saturday Classico is a specially tailored programme, introducing children from seven years of age to the art of music making.
One and a half hours in the musical instrument cosmos is an exciting and fundamental experience in sound. From string and plucked instruments and the versatile group of percussion instruments, to wood and brass instruments: all are introduced. With the guiding eyes of professionals, the participants are given the chance to try out the musical instruments themselves: not only instruments from the classical orchestra, but also unusual ones such as the alpenhorn and saxophone!
