A new lease of life for old songs: Knabenchor Hannover (Hanover Boys’ Choir) under the direction of conductor Jörg Breiding sings a rousing repertoire of German folk songs, sea shanties, romantic melodies and international traditionals at the Elbphilharmonie, accompanied by the piano duo Tsuyuki & Rosenboom. The arrangements are by the Hanover composer Andreas N. Tarkmann, and the programme also features a-cappella movements and virtuosic instrumental versions of German folk songs.
