JugendGitarrenOrchester Hamburg

Under the title »Hometown Composers« the JugendGitarrenOrchester of Hamburg focused its work in 2017 and 2018 on the great classics of its hometown. The young musicians rehearsed music by Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Adolf Hasse, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Johannes Brahms, Felix Mendelssohn and Gustav Mahler, none of whom wrote a single work for guitar. With selected arrangements from their own pens, the JugendGitarrenOrchester for young musicians makes a convincing case for performing these compositions on concert guitars.
