Johannes Motschmann Trio
»Electric Fields«
The majesty of electro analog
Where the unknown lurks and the crossing of boundaries forms part of the everyday process of artistic creation, this promising trio is not far away. For Johannes Motschmann, Boris Bolles and David Panzl have a mission, and that is to play electronic music on original instruments in concert in such a way that all the sounds are generated live. What began back then on an old Wurlitzer piano in the basement of their student dormitory is now an adventurous journey through all manner of new instrumental influences, celestial rhythms and soundscapes.
Their luggage includes a huge arsenal of analogue synthesizers, e-pianos and a complex multi-percussion set-up that give their electro-acoustic trio album »Electric Fields« its special characteristic sound. A listening experience that in the intense meeting of electronic dance music, avant-garde and at the same time orchestral tradition promises first and foremost thrilling, pulsating beats and definitely one or two surprises.
