One quick look at the set list is enough to show that humour is important to the four musicians of Cubolumos. In addition to creative neologisms such as »OmNomSom« and »Arft«, they also present debatable mathematical statements such as »2=1«. Translated into music, what that means is contemporary jazz that lets its roots peek through occasionally, but packaged in a modern sound. »An invitation to new listeners to give jazz a chance«, as ZEITmagazin declared.
Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
