Pianist Benny Lackner and drummer Rainer Winch have known each other since 1996 and have played together in various settings ever since. In Hardylackner, they have now created an experimental space in which they add electronic ambient sounds to their traditional duo instruments. The pair of musicians never limit their sets to their own compositions – other Hardylackner trademarks include reworks of classic themes from Schubert to Eisler, and original arrangements of David Bowie songs.
Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
