Jan Vogler Plays Bach

In 2017 the cellist Jan Vogler gave a guest performance in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall with the actor Bill Murray as part of the joint music-literary project »Bill Murray, Jan Vogler & Friends – New Worlds«. Vogler now returns to Hamburg with what must be some of the best-known cello works of all time: Bach’s Cello Suites. His 1707 Stradivari cello really comes into its own in the intimate environment of the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall. In this concert he performs the first three from a total of six suites, Vogler’s recording of which won him the ECHO Klassik Award.
