Alongside Kurt Elling and Mark Murphy, Ian Shaw is regarded as one of the best male voices in contemporary jazz. Jamie Cullum once even referred to »the incomparable Ian Shaw – absolutely fantastic!«. Although his voice has brought him an international reputation and collaborations with legends such as Quincy Jones and Abdullah Ibrahim, Ian Shaw is far more than »just« a jazz singer. He has a long list of other talents, from pianist and songwriter to comedian and host of Ronnie Scott’s Radio Show on Jazz FM. His greatest love, however, is still jazz, as impressively evidenced by the 15 albums he has released since 1990.
