Herman van Veen
»Fallen oder Springen« / »Fall or Jump« Tour 2016
On 19 May 1974 a universal entertainer from Holland appeared for the first time in the Cologne recording studio of WDR (West German Radio). He was hardly known at all in Germany and spoke next to no German – but he could sing like a young god. Herman van Veen embarks on a new tour of Germany 42 years later, his eleventh to date, entitled »Fallen oder Springen« (Fall or Jump). He says himself: »This motto suits my age perfectly. It has been and will always remain the most important decision of my life, whether I let myself fall, or actively jump«.

At the age of 70 he feels that he has »arrived in the winter of his life«, but he is still full of energy and regularly gives more than 100 concerts a year. And Herman van Veen is still unique in his genre. The creativity of this singer, songwriter, violinist, clown, cabaret artist, composer, poet and painter is literally inexhaustible. With gentle sounds and witty, cryptic and crazy words he has been delighting audiences for decades now in Holland, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South Africa.
