Youth orchestras from Hamburg
Hamburg’s four big youth orchestras, the Albert Schweizer Youth Orchestra, the Landesjugendorchester, the Moses Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra and the Fanny Mendelssohn Youth Orchestra, each play one movement from a symphony and one from a concerto for solo instrument and orchestra. As a special highlight of the evening, the composition prize »doppelpunkt22«, endowed by the Hamburg Mozart Society and TONALi with prize money of 8,000 euros, will be presented to the young composer Hiromu Seifert. His work will then be given its first performance by all youth orchestras together at the end of the concert.
