With heartfelt sentiment
»After surviving a severe flu, I was very touched by Beethoven’s string quartet. The music hit exactly what I was feeling: great peace, gratitude and the comforting feeling that ›now all is well‹,« says Philharmonic violist Stefanie Frieß. Beethoven wanted the »holy song of thanksgiving of a convalescent« from one of his late string quartets to be performed with »heartfelt sentiment« – and that is how he would like this concert to open.
