So many new things to see and hear can be exciting and fascinating, but one has to get one’s bearings first – and deal with inevitable homesickness. In this thrilling production young listeners set off on a grand journey for America, the New World.
Without words, a funny yet profound story unfolds accompanied by sounds and imaginative, live projected visuals. The music is by famous Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, who himself travelled to New York on a huge passenger ship. Ensemble Resonanz combines his music with self-mixed sound effects and American ragtime.
