Fjarill
»Midsommar«
»The light is blue and mystical, and it never truly gets dark even when the sun sets around midnight. The air is fresh and clear, and it smells of moss, woodland and blossoms ... buttercups and wild meadow flowers.« That is how Aino Löwenmark describes her home, the region of Darlarna in Sweden. She has now been living in Hamburg for many years, and formed the duo Fjarill with the South African violinist Hanmari Spiegel here more than 15 years ago. They have now recorded a new album, which features their own compositions as well as traditional Swedish music played during mid-summer celebrations.
