Laments and throat singing, an archaic hymn of praise in symbiosis with avantgarde jazz, improvisation and New Music: the programmes of the experimental singer Sofia Jernberg create an almost utopian space of possibilities for the human voice. Elaborately interwoven influences from collected and newly arranged »hymns & laments« interact with each other, rather than taking a position. Here, music is a space of radical diversity, a cosmopolitan voice box.
