Ensemble La Ninfea / Barbara Heindlmeier
»Gentleman for a Day«
Recorder in your pocket
Top hats and courteous behaviour, elegance and exclusive status: that’s what you immediately think of when you think of a real London gentleman. But a recorder? Of course! Well, top hats were not (yet) worn by fine gentlemen in the 1700s, but of course it was good manners to have a recorder in your pocket, for example, to serenade the lady you adored at any time – a welcome occasion for Barbara Heindlmeier and La Ninfea to spend a day as a gentleman.
