The Hamburg-based Ensemble Formidable can best be defined as what it is not. It is not classical, not sophisticated, not familiar and certainly not conventional. It is so unusual, so different, so young and refreshing that it really deserves the name Formidable. Following the programmes »Erklär mir die Liebe!« (Tell Me about Love!), »Winternachtstraum« (A Midwinter Night’s Dream), »Frühlingserwachen« (Spring Awakening) and »Summer in the City«, Ensemble Formidable now presents its new, mesmerising programme »SommerAusKlang« (Ringing Out Summer).
