Element of Crime
Only true fans know how many albums Element of Crime has released in the last 30 years: roughly 15, or nearly 25 if we count the live albums. Since it was founded in 1985, the Berlin band led by singer, guitarist, trumpeter, songwriter, novelist and scriptwriter Sven Regener has stood for intelligent texts set to many-sided and surprising music. The subjects are pretty varied, and always a bit sentimental: the songs are about love and alcohol, the horizon and Berlin – and occasionally about the little town of Delmenhorst. The band’s 30-year history also shows that Element of Crime are at their best on stage – as can be seen and heard at their first gig in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall.
