Elbipolis Barockorchester Hamburg
»Von Tagträumern und Nachtschwärmern«
Fantasy creatures of the nocturnal realm inspired composers to write some of the most unusual works of the Baroque era. At a time when formality and symmetry were predominant in architecture and music too, composers found in wondrous dream worlds a loophole to illusions, visions and alternative realities – with free forms, associative styles of composition and fantastic melodies and harmonies. The Baroque orchestra Elbipolis from Hamburg conjures up these dream worlds in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall.
