The chamber-theatre concert »Die Bratschen von Miranda« (The Violas of Miranda) is the new production by the directing duo Barbara Bürk and Clemens Sienknecht, who have inspired thousands of people in recent years with their musical reinterpretations of world literature and peculiar rediscovered texts. On this evening, the national orchestra of the fictional country of Miranda – performed by violists from the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra – serves up musical delicacies with rhythmically peppered lust for life. Fourteen violas and a maraca guide the way to an exotic world that blends classical music and traditional Mirandolese sounds.
