Conchita

The fictitious character Conchita Wurst was brought to life in 2011 by Austrian singer and drag artist Tom Neuwirth. Since winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014, his striking creation – a woman with a beard – became his vehicle to carry his message of dignity for all human beings all over the world in the most visible and unmistakable way. Today, artist and model Conchita remains an advocate for self-determination, love, respect and the fight against discrimination and violence. From November 2017 she is on tour with her debut album »Conchita«, accompanied by the National Philharmonic Orchestra Berlin. Conchita is currently working on her second album – and one or the other new song may be heard in November!
