Concerts for Hamburg
NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra / Nicolas Altstaedt
The »Concerto for Orchestra« by Hungarian composer Béla Bartók is the perfect work for anyone who wants to familiarise him- or herself with the individual instruments of the orchestra. The piece for full orchestra features regular solo passages for the individual parts, be it flute, trumpet, harp or percussion. And in Haydn’s sparkling Cello Concerto we get to hear one of today’s best and most appealing musicians in the role of soloist: Nicolas Altstaedt.
