»The Moldau« is one of the best-known works in the classical repertoire, and deservedly so: no other composer painted musical landscapes as beautifully as Smetana did. Thomas Hengelbrock takes his audience on a musical journey that follows the course of the river from its source to the point where it flows into the Elbe. And with Patricia Kopatchinskaja as soloist, we can look forward to hearing one of the most unconventional and exciting violinists of our time.
