The Chor zur Welt has been bringing together people and songs from all over the world since 2016. And the singers have continued to cultivate a stimulating cultural exchange in recent months. With in-person rehearsals off the table, the choir members from more than 15 nations stayed in touch through regular video sessions: they sent new songs from living room to living room, built new bridges and are now all the more excited about finally performing in front of a real audience again.
The choir has regularly been giving concerts all over Hamburg, not just in the Elbphilharmonie, from the very beginning. And they are now performing in Kultur Palast in Billstedt, where they’ll be singing about love, the most wonderful theme of all. The programme features songs in a variety of languages, from Russia, the Bosporus and the Greek island of Samos. With accompaniment by an ensemble from Hanover’s Orchester im Treppenhaus.
