Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn composed his Piano Quartet in F Minor at the tender age of 14. Numerous critics praised the young Mendelssohn for the combination of youthful vigour and artistic maturity in his works. The 1825 piano quartet is the first of four on this special evening of chamber music.
