Chamber Music Concert / Orchestra Academy
Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra
The orchestra academy of the Hamburg State Philharmonic Orchestra prepares talented young musicians for the challenges of a career as an orchestral musician. Thirteen academy students go through the two-year programme, rehearsing and playing at concerts, operas and ballet performances. Additionally, they receive regular one-on-one lessons with members of the orchestra, preparation for auditions and coaching to improve stage presence. Once a year the students show their skill and talent at their own chamber music concert as part of the Philharmonic Concerts series – this time in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall.
