When pianist Chad Lawson released his album »The Chopin Variations« in 2014 he succeeded in appealing to millions of people in the US music market, which is not exactly known for being open to classical music. However, Lawson’s versions of classical pieces are not about producing »classical pop« for the mass market. They focus rather on underscoring the intimacy of this music, an intimacy that can be experienced first-hand in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall when Lawson and his trio reinterpret works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Frédéric Chopin.

Renovation Work in Recital Hall Foyer: The Recital Hall Foyer is currently not accessible owing to renovation work currently being carried out. A cloakroom for guests will be provided on the Plaza in close vicinity to the entrance of the Recital Hall. Some intermission refreshments will also be on offer on the Plaza.
